The Arab-language al-Quds al-Arabi daily wrote a piece on July 7th on the wealth of the children of Khamenei’s children.
The
wealth of his sons and daughters is estimated at billions, most of
which being held in banks in the UK, Syria and Venezuela. The wealth of
Mojtaba, Khamenei’s second son, is over $3 billion, most of which stored
in banks in the UAE, Syria and Venezuela, and some others in African
countries.
In the meantime the amount of his wealth in gold and
diamonds is estimated at $300 million. $1 billion of this wealth has
been obtained from special taxes on oil sales; $1 for each barrel sold
to China and India, and $5 to $15 for each barrel from Iran’s general
oil sales.
Khamenei’s son has also began taking over a vast amount of
land near the city of Mashhad, and turned them into his own private
property. Tehran mayor Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has given him as a gift
in thousands of hectares in the best areas of Tehran’s Abbas Abbad and
other areas. Furthermore, in the city of Mashhad, he is the owner of the
largest shopping malls and the owner of the largest building projects,
along with a private plane and helicopter for urgent trips, and a
caravan of new Mercedez-Benz vehicles and horses.
Massoud is
Khamenei’s third son. He has studied law in Tehran University and is in
charge of many of his father’s institutions and the director of his
personal website. Massoud has more than $400 million dollars in French
and English banks, and another $100 million in Tehran banks. Massoud
also owns the sales of the French company Renault in Iran.
Meitham is
Khamenei’s youngest son. He has studied theology in Tehran University
and married the daughter of one of the most famous bazaar merchants. He
is also in charge of Khamenei’s institutions. He is the partner of his
brother, Massoud, in the Renault company because he was the godfather of
this deal, in a way that he receives 5 million rials from the sale of
each vehicle that his brother sells in Iran. Meitham has a wealth is
more than $200 million and he owns liquidity valued at around $10
million used for trade in the country’s own market.
Boshra is
Khamenei’s daughter who has married the son of Mohammad Golpaygani,
Khamenei’s chief of staff. She has received much attention from his
parents since he was a baby, because she was the first daughter of their
family. She was spoiled that when returning home from school all roads
were blocked for her passage, and guards were always stationed outside
her classroom. Boshra’s wealth is estimated at around $100 million.
Hoda
is yet another spoiled daughter of Khamenei. She is the smallest of
Khamenei’s children and has married an individual from a very well-known
religious family. Hoda pays a lot of attention to fashion and jewelry.
She has a women’s salon in her home and she has a lot of security forces
for the commuting to and from her home and this salon. Her wealth is
estimated at being equal to her sister, Boshra, at $100 million.
Hassan
is Khamenei’s most famous uncle. He is the contractor of Iran’s
state-run TV stations and responsible for purchasing all the cameras and
electric equipment, and assembling all the necessary machinery.
Furthermore, he is the representative of Sony in all of Iran, and he
purchases a total of $50 to $60 million of equipment and appliances each
year. In the meantime, this company sells an estimate of $600 million
each year to the Iranian regime, and 7% of this is owned by this uncle
of Khamenei.
